Scholarship for AIANYS Members to Attend AIA Tri-State Conference in Princeton, NJ

At the 2026 AIA Tri-State Conference, explore educational sessions addressing the opportunities and challenges shaping architecture today, from sustainable design and resilient communities to emerging technologies, leadership, project delivery, and business strategy.

  • Early Bird Registration fee: Up to $500.00
  • Two overnight rooms at the conference hotel reimbursement: Up to $205/night for two nights*

*Reimbursement will be up to, but not exceed, $205.00 (including taxes) per night for a two-night stay. Recipient is responsible for any additional costs.

  • AIANYS member
  • Membership with AIANYS of at least two years
  • Applicants’ membership must be in good standing at the time of application
  • Allied members are not eligible for AIANYS Scholarships
  • Member must attest that they will renew membership in 2027
  • Letter of recommendation from a principal at your firm that indicates why you are a good candidate to receive a scholarship to attend this conference.
  • An essay of at least 500 words answering the following questions:
  • Why do you want this scholarship?
  • How would receiving this help your career?
  • What do you plan to do with what you will learn?

Give Back to The Profession: Recipients will be required to “give back” to AIANYS by writing a post-conference essay on how you benefited from the experience and choose from one of the following:

  • Create a panel discus sion based on something you learned (virtual or face-to-face)
  • Write an article for AIANYS Quarterly Magazine
  • Start a discussion group
  • Organize a webinar
  • Speak at an AIANYS conference (virtual or face-to-face)
  • Note: Give Backs must be a project developed as a result of you attending the AIA Tri-State Conference

The letter should focus on one or two aspects of the applicant’s accomplishments related to the scholarship. Please be sure and read the scholarship description carefully. Letters should be explicit in their recommendation and contain specific reasons for support. Letters must be signed and on professional letterhead.
