Small Firm Symposium

The Small Firm Symposium Project Team supports the development and delivery of AIANYS’s 2026 virtual Small Firm Symposium, which will occur in September. Volunteers collaborate on shaping the program by identifying timely topics, reviewing presentation proposals, and assisting with the solicitation of keynote speakers and panelists. The team may also contribute ideas for marketing and sponsorship, including making introductions to potential partners aligned with the symposium’s goals. Members of this task-oriented team are expected to participate in virtual meetings approximately bi-weekly during the planning period and are well suited for those interested in advancing professional development opportunities tailored to small firm practice.

Tri-State Conference

The 2026 Tri-State Conference Project Team supports the planning and delivery of the joint conference hosted by AIA New York State in collaboration with AIA Pennsylvania and AIA New Jersey. Volunteers collaborate on shaping the overall conference theme, curating program content, reviewing presentation proposals, and assisting with the identification of keynote speakers and sponsor prospects. For this in-person event, the team may also help identify potential exhibitors for the tradeshow, brainstorm presenters for pre-conference intensives, and support the planning of local architecture tours in the Princeton area. This task-oriented team is well suited for members interested in contributing to a high-impact, multi-component professional development conference to be held 4–6 November at the Hyatt Regency Princeton.
