Attend the premier AEC industry event. The AIA National Convention (AIA26) is more than just a conference; it’s an invitation to inspiration. Anchored by four days of immersive learning, inspiring keynotes, architect-led tours, networking events, and the industry’s largest expo, the convention will spark real-time innovation, discovery, and engagement. AIA26 will take place in San Diego, CA, June 10-13, 2026.
Note: If a recipient is already registered to attend the 2026 conference, the recipient will be reimbursed for the same expenses listed below. A request for reimbursement must be submitted to AIANYS with copies of all related receipts no later than two weeks following notification of selection.
Recipients will receive the following:
Registration Fee:$999
Two Nights in an AIA designated hotel; not to exceed $250.00 per night
Travel Stipend: $200.00
Eligibility
AIANYS member licensed less than ten years
Membership with AIANYS of at least two years
Applicants’ membership must be in good standing at the time of application
Allied members are not eligible for AIANYS Scholarships
Application Requirements
Letter of recommendation from a principal at your firm that indicates why you are a good candidate to receive a scholarship to attend this conference.
An essay of at least 500 words answering the following questions:
Why do you want this scholarship?
How would receiving this help your career?
What do you plan to do with what you will learn?
After the Convention
Give Back to The Profession: Recipients will be required to “give back” to AIANYS by writing a post-conference essay on how you benefited from the experience and choose from one of the following:
Create a panel discussion based on something you learned (virtual or face-to-face)
Write an article for AIANYS Quarterly Magazine
Start a discussion group
Organize a webinar
Speak at an AIANYS conference (virtual or face-to-face)
Note: Give Backs must be a project developed as a result of you attending the AIA National Convention.

Please complete the following application to be considered for the Scholarship for AIA New York State Members Licensed Less than Ten Years to Attend the AIA National Convention. Founded in 2025, AIANYS is funding two (2) AIANYS emerging professionals to attend this annual conference.
