Designing for New Jersey’s Updated Energy Code – Part 1: Residential Compliance
New Jersey’s updated Energy Subcode, which adopts the 2024 IECC for low-rise residential construction, took effect August 17, 2026, with a six-month grace period ending February 17, 2027. This webinar provides architects with a practical overview of the updated requirements and how they affect the design process for one- and two-family dwellings and multifamily buildings three stories or less. Participants will explore important changes from the previous code, key New Jersey amendments, and the compliance pathways available for residential projects.
The seminar will focus on how to incorporate energy-code requirements into the design process, coordinate requirements across disciplines, evaluate compliance options, and identify potential issues before they become costly design or construction changes.
