Both the American Institute and the State of New York recognize continuing education in architecture is crucial to advancing and improving the profession.  Presently, 45 states across the country have mandatory continuing education in order to continue practicing as a registered and licensed architect.  As part of this commitment, AIA New York State and the local Chapters of the AIA provide a broad selection of programs.

Join the discussion with the panel of design and construction professionals as they explore ways to improve productivity through best practices in communication. You will learn how to revamp what you say and how you say it – both in writing and discussion on site and in your office – and the impact this can have on the project and even your clients. The panel will also discuss how emotional intelligence theory can break down barriers to a cooperative and collaborative relationship and what the industry can do together to remove those impediments.

The panel will run from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM and will be followed by a short reception from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Rules & Regulations

To renew your registration as an architect, New York State Education Law requires completion of 36 contact hours in each three year registration period.  The hours must be logged in approved subject hours and sponsored by an approved provider.
