Examining the Ingredients for a Code Compliant Building Envelope

Right-sized mechanical systems are crucial for complying with the energy code. Crushing the Code NYC: Residential Building Systems prepares building and design professionals in New York City to comply with the residential mechanical, hot water, and lighting requirements in the 2020 New York City Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC).
By the end of this 1.5-hour training, participants will be able to:
- Explain compliance requirements related to right-sizing mechanical systems, along with the energy consequences of effective controls and setbacks.
- Describe how the energy code limits energy waste due to ventilation.
- Identify the mandatory provisions for service hot water systems in residential buildings.
- Navigate the requirements for code compliant electrical systems related to lighting, solar, and electric vehicles.
