The Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®) is the exam portion of architecture licensing and has been adopted by all 54 U.S. Member boards of architecture to indicate minimum competency of candidates in order to practice architecture. The ARE is administered by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Visit the NCARB ARE webpage for up-to-date information on the ARE.
