Keynote Events ,Tours and Golf Tournament

There are several social events held throughout the convention offering all attendees a chance to network with members in a fun setting.  

Golf Tournament:
The 2009 Golf Tournament will be on September 23rd at Ravenwood in Rochester. The fee is $120.00
and includes greens fees, cart, lunch, snack and drink during play. A light reception will follow during the awarding of prizes.

Friday Night Party
(Preceded by AIANYS Honor and Student Awards)


This year's party on Friday, September 25, 2009 will be at the George Eastman House. Designed by J. Foster Warner and built between 1902 and 1905, George Eastman House is a National Historic Landmark.

The estate originally included a stable, garage, barn, five greenhouses, and many vegetable and flower gardens on eight and a half acres.

This year’s party will be an opportunity to see this incredible mansion, have some great food and drinks and met up with old and new friends.

President’s Reception, Dinner and Design Awards Presentation

The President’s Reception, Dinner and Design Awards Presentation on Thursday, September 24, 2009 will be held on at the Hyatt Regency. This black tie preferred dinner will recognize outstanding works of architecture by New York State architects. A cocktail reception will kick off the evening, followed by a sit down dinner and then the Design Awards will be presented. The Annual AIANYS Design Awards Program was instituted to honor and promote excellence in design by New York State architects. The 2009 Design Award recipients demonstrate creativity, innovation and imagination. These projects highlight the importance of the architect's role in society.

Opening Keynote Luncheon
The Opening Keynote Luncheon will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency. The keynote speaker will be Dennis Mullen, Upstate President, Empire State Development.

Closing Keynote Luncheon

The closing luncheon on Saturday, September 26 will feature keynote speaker David Zach, national recognized futurist.
