Vapor Control Technologies, LLC, (VCT) sells a patented aerated floor system, Cupolex™, to mitigate vapor intrusion. Water, radon, methane, chemical contaminant vapors are collected beneath the floor slab and vented to the outside air. Cupolex™ provides structural support to the slab, needing less concrete. Other significant advantages of the system include: possibility of a passive system, less backfill material needed, faster setup than typical sub-slab depressurization/barrier systems, and LEED points.
